I know we have all become smitten with that charming British bear named Paddington. But guess what? The original mayor of Bear Town is back and he's returning to mess Paddington's shit up.

Behold, the first trailer for Christopher Robin, a live-action film about an aged Mr. Robin who is reunited with his old fluffy childhood friend after many years. But, unlike a rational human being, Christopher isn't terrified of a talking teddy bear. Instead he looks happy and relieved to see his old chum again. Me, I'd probably beat the ever-living shit out of a sentient stuffed animal but my childhood wasn't spent cavorting around in the woods with folksy animals and their depressed donkey friend.

Christopher Robin is directed by Marc Forster, which means it could go either way. However the movie is co-written by Tom McCarthy and the cast features Ewan McGregor and Hayley Atwell and features the voice cast of Jim Cummings (of course) as Pooh, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Chris O'Dowd as Tigger and the inspired choice of Peter Capaldi as Rabbit. Those are some talented people exploring Hundred Acre Wood.

Obviously Robin will be playing on your nostalgia quite a bit but that doesn't mean it can't end up being a heartwarming family-friendly affair. As the Paddington films have proven, talking bear movies don't have to bad...unless they're directed by Seth MacFarlane.
