I don’t know if this is trolling or just clever marketing.
A few weeks ago we reported on some mysterious social media posts from Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. The posts were minimal but suggested something was coming from both of the actors and it was coming “soon.” Fans rejoiced and grew so anxious to see what the reveal could be. Would we finally get a trailer or title or anything from the upcoming Breaking Bad film? All signs pointed to yes because what else could it possibly be?
Ha. Well, Cranston and Paul weren’t teasing the BB movie. Read Cranston’s Instagram post below and see what the two were really leading us to.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have been secretly working on…their own brand of Mezcal? Oh, oh okay. It’s certainly not what we were expecting but, hey, it’s something. When the two stars of a television classic tease a reunion of course we are going to assume it’s to sell their alcohol.
Now, this doesn’t mean the Breaking Bad movie isn’t happening. It’s definitely happening and we WILL be hearing something about it sooner rather than later, they’ve been hard at work on it for awhile. This just means that Cranston and Paul were using the old bait-and-switch technique. They sucked a bunch of fans in, fully knowing that everyone expected something Breaking Bad-related, and gave them something they didn’t expect. But you can’t knock their hustle. They’re trying to raise awareness for their Mezcal and they surely did. All these fans heartbroken over the lack of BB news will have to drown their sorrows somehow! Why not with some Dos Hombres Mezcal?
As you can imagine, many fans were NOT happy about the reveal of Dos Hombres. They were damn-near salivating at the thought of Breaking Bad news. Sorry, folks, we got duped. Heisenberg and Jesse Pinkman strike again.
