The image above is a brand new picture from Disney+’s The Mandalorian, featuring our titular hero and a couple of Trandoshans doing battle on some nameless dessert planet. The keen Star Wars fan will recognizes the Trandoshans from The Empire Strikes Back but we have never seen them like this. These guys look tough but something tells me The Mandalorian will make it out alive.

The release date for season one of the show, November 12th, is quickly approaching so you can expect to see more and more images and videos from the series in the weeks ahead. This is a big deal for Lucasfilm and Disney, it’s definitely one of the most ambitious TV shows ever and could set the bar for Disney+ and all streaming shows. Plus it’ll add to Star Wars lore and mythology so you know fans will gobble it up.

But we don’t know too much about the Jon Favreau-directed series. We know it’ll feature our bounty hunter lead character as he traverses the galaxy in search of some the universe’s most wanted. But we don’t know how episodic it’ll be, how violent or “adult” it’ll be. We have heard rumors and hype but a lot remains to be seen. That’s exactly what Disney wants: they want a lot of people to see this damn thing.

Yes, there isn’t much information as we embark on the final stretch of promotions for The Mandalorian so we will take whatever we can get. Savor every pixel of this picture!
