If you’ve been following along with Finch Club, you may have noticed that we’ve been, well, a bit glum about the prospect of revisiting The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, David Fincher’s 2008 flick about Brad Pitt aging backwards. And now, it’s Benny B’s time to shine! So, is it better than we remembered? What could have attracted Fincher to this material? What is the thematic and narrative purposes of reverse aging? Is it intended that Benjamin Button comes across as a cowardly, milquetoast, deadbeat dad? Frame Work returning champ Joon Kim is on hand to help us parse this oddity, which, I’ll remind you, was nominated for thirteen Oscars.

And as always, you can find previous Frame Work episodes on the podcast app of your choice, including all previous David Fincher entries and plenty more stuff besides. If you’re feeling charitable, leave ratings and reviews on those apps to increase our visibility! What fun! Then we’re all part of something together.
