I have been writing a blog here on Chud pretty much every week for the last two years and with regret I think it's time to call it quits.  I didn't want to just stop writing so I humbly submit my final blog entry to you all. It's been a challenge to keep up my aim of writing something every week and on the whole I think I did pretty well.  The problem is that my life is getting busier and the time I can devote to this sort of thing is getting less and less.  In the meantime there is a bunch of new guys hungry for it and who write with a hell of a lot of passion and insight, all of which makes me think it's time to get out of the way.

But my main reason is bizarrely because I want to write more, but what i want to write is that damn book that i have been kicking around for the past couple of years.  It's like I said before, the time I can devote to writing is getting less and less which means if I want to give myself any chance of ever finishing it, I need to focus my energy on that.  And it doesn't help that I have a painting of one of the main characters looking down at me in front of my desk every time I sit down*, reminding me he sits in limbo waiting for me to finish his story.

I've had a lot of fun, got to play with different styles and even got to collaborate with some great writers (Donnie, Ian and Mike here's to ya). Hopefully the latter will continue as we are still working on then next installment of Saturday Morning Cartoons, which promises to be a doozy.

And this is not to say I will never write another blog. I hope from time to time to be able to write some nonsense, but it will be something I can spend more time on and (with luck) it would be more polished.

Thanks to all of you who have read this (mostly) weekly blog. I'll still be around on Facebook and on these very boards, but hopefully this means that someday soon you might end up seeing me in print.

Finally a big thanks to Nick for letting me throw out this crap on his site.

Cheers all, and see you around.

*Thanks John, it's an awesome picture.
