The QT Question: Talking ‘Reservoir Dogs’

In this time of pandemic, one thing that’s been clarified for me is how much I enjoy talking about movies. That can come in many forms, such as articles here, or bothering my wife into finally getting into the Schwarzenegger back catalogue (she really liked Running Man!) But one of the more exciting ones was finding occasion to speak more frequently with fellow Trouble City contributor Al Schwartz, whom I’ve known for years but am only know really getting to know. You may have caught a lengthy dialogue on the state of Star Wars we recently had.

That was a fun talk, and I hope a fun read, but it seemed the obvious form it wanted to take was that of a podcast. So, given the state of things, Schwartz and I decided to record the next one. We had been discussing a particular Tarantino theory Schwartz has, and thought this would be a fine starting point. And so, we’re happy to announce The QT Question, an ongoing dialogue about the works and career of legendary film nerd and auteur Quentin Tarantino. We’ll be going through his eclectic career film by film and interrogating it from several angles, and you’ll be able to download it right here, or just listen to it right off the webpage. In this first episode, we’re discussing Tarantino’s debut feature, Reservoir Dogs!

So that’s what we sound like! We’ll be talking about Pulp Fiction next time, as we work our way through the Tarantino career.
