The New 'Puppet Master' Trailer Is Here

It's finally here. The official red band NSFW trailer for Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich is out now. This is one of the most anticipated horror films of the year for a lot of folks, and on August 17 we'll finally be able to see it in theaters and VOD. Just check out this trailer and try not to get excited.

That shit looks awesome. There is so much positive feedback pouring out from horror fans right now about the new Puppet Master that it's hard not to be psyched about it. The word from the festival circuit is that The Littlest Reich is relentlessly violent and crass, and obviously the pull quotes say the same. Just the amount of blood alone in this trailer is enough to fill an entire feature film.

Here's a quick list of what the trailer just showed us and this is barely scratching the surface of the kind of gore and chaos Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich has to offer:

  • 21 Scenes of Puppet Violence
  • Blade's Retractable Knife
  • Stomach Being Cut Open
  • Slashed Body in Truck
  • Guy's Guts Spilling Out
  • Decapitation in Car
  • Arm Ripped Off
  • Head Being Squished
  • Guy Covered in Blood

That's a lot of carnage. I'm glad that Fangoria has teamed up with Full Moon Empire to bring us this, and I'm even more happy for the awesome cast and crew behind the film. Although Jester and Leech Woman are noticeably absent from the trailer, I loved seeing the new puppets and the old classics like Torch, Pinhead and the multiple versions of Blade we're getting.

The story looks like a lot of fun with the plot hanging around a 30 year anniversary Toulon Convention being the hook. Thomas Lennon is clearly having a blast here, all inappropriate jokes aside, and everyone else to include Barbara Crampton, Michael Paré and Udo Kier look like they are bringing their A-game to the party.

In just a couple of weeks, we'll be able to see this in select theaters and stream it as much as we want. That's gonna be good times. The short synopsis for this is now, "When Edgar decides to sell a nefarious looking puppet at a convention, all hell breaks loose when the puppets come alive and go on a killing spree." Sounds great to me.
