THese Posters For ‘The Invisible Man’ Are Freaking Me Out

Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man seems scary enough without these terrifying posters. The collection of one-sheets, located below, are just simple bits of text that really play up on some bone-chilling — and completely rational — fears that everyone has. Who isn’t afraid of some devious creep being right behind them? Who doesn’t shudder when thinking of being followed? Can you name one person who doesn’t get a shiver up the spine when they think of someone hiding in their backseat?

Kudos to the marketing department on this one because you have thoroughly ruined my day. This is some effective marketing.

The Invisible Man has a lot of buzz building before its February 28th release. I am really hopeful that Whannell’s film is even half as unnerving as the trailer. His twist on the age-old story is clever and timely and we know the man can direct a horror film. So let’s pray it all comes together cohesively and gives us something special and truly, truly scary.

We should be getting word on the film’s quality soon. Until then, these spooky posters should hold you over. Just try not to think about them too hard…or after dark.

Special thanks to IMP Awards for the heads up on these.
