Being the second part of a continuing conversation/podcast on the career of Quentin Tarantino, this episode of the QT question takes on the quintessential film in his career, Pulp Fiction! As the ‘part 1’ above indicates, this is only the first half of a longer discussion of the film. There’s a couple of reasons for this. First off, we’re in the heart of the summer, and scheduling’s been a bit tricky, but we wanted to keep new material coming, and secondly, this ended up being a little bit longer than expected!

As we spoke about last time with Reservoir Dogs, the QT Question is, to put it bluntly, are Tarantino movies truly about anything? Pulp Fiction may been one of the most important films ever made, but does it have a point? Schwartz and I talk about the invisible hand of fate, whether this world has innate morality, made up bible verses, realism versus specificity, Bad Times at the El Royale, a penchant for stories of deception, and the all-time great and important pairing of Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L Jackson. Please enjoy!

The second, Bruce Willis heavy, part will be released later this week, and shortly after that, look for our follow up, on Tarantino’s 90s side projects, especially True Romance and From Dusk Till Dawn.
