After two years of inference, desire and fear, the long-rumored “Snyder Cut” of 2017’s not-enjoyed Justice League will be released on to HBO Max, per THR. And it’s no small thing, it will be a full remounting, costing between 20 and 30 million dollars, featuring a considerable amount of unseen new footage and apparently lots of new dialogue recording from the principal cast. It sounds like they won’t need new footage, per se, but lots of FX shots will need to be completed. They’re not even sure what they’ll end up with, it sounds like, as they’re weighing a four hour directors cut versus six “TV-style chapters.”

Interestingly, Snyder says he’s never even seen the released version. Also interestingly, Darkseid is already confirmed to be in it. Sounds like we’re all going to have to check this out, whether out of passion or curiosity. No date has been set for this, aside from 2021.
